Another in the Adventure Week series. This one has slightly different dimensions as it will be printed 32 feet wide and 10 feet tall (as opposed to the others being 15 feet tall and 65 feet wide).

This is supposed to be inside of the castle (see other posts).

Enjoy!

what's the best way to learn lighting? (the right coloring/not relying on overlays/dodge /layers) D: I can't seem to pick the right one =.=

Well, I made a DVD on the subject many years ago. You can check it out here... [link]

I hope that doesn't sound like a sales pitch only. The dvd goes into my thoughts on the subject in detail since so many people ask me. If you do watch the dvd let me know what you think and if you found it helpful.

Other than that, try painting from real life as often as you can. :)

Very nice! Did you made the patterns in the floor and the walls with a special brush?

not really. I used my standard brushes, but I did get celtic pattern reference before doing it.

dude maybe you can tell me....
after seeing that AW with the town, I wanted to do one of my concept pictures like you would paint yours.
Got everything but the textures and some more detail in. I cant just seem to get them in. My city is too smooth:(

There's 2 tricks I do for getting texture. The first and most effective is to get a chalk brush and make some custom paper textures (find a photo or something of a gritty texture, make a selection and then in the paper window choose capture paper in the drop down menu. Then use this new created paper texture with the chalk brush to paint in a bit of texture... it's very hard to describe, but easy to show, try it out). My other cheat is to bring in texture photos and layer them in such a way (overlay mode with a low transparency) to just add a bit of detail. Does this help or make sense? Please post your image as I'd love to see it!

Finally after all my exploration of the exterior of the castle found…

I am inside...

Draped red fabric are placed either side and jouned together in the middle…
and perpendicular from the crest of where the red expensive meets…and below it...
a intricate crossed design of simplicity, yet of complication…
Bordered by lines profound…

and though it is empty… for now…

Soon it shall be alive with golden effects…
and voices of the nobles… courtiers… and servants…

Imagination… a red carpet …long, pristine, and precise… to lead to a throne...

One can ONLY imagine what that throne will look like…
what is known… is only known to the imagination…

Would it be the elegance… of it...
and that is what this interior display activates…

The imaginations of appreciation and wonder…

Once again... I am not disappointed (like I ever would be)...
My imagination runs at a thousand times a minute...

BRILLIANT! :D
