Artist's Comments

Eleventh in the E series of animation backgrounds. This is the Vineyard part 2. For speed reasons I stole part of another one of my paintings for this one (the Roman Garden). I tried to keep the same cool morning feel and colors as the first vineyard image.

On all these pieces you seem to make it appear there is lots of detail without doing lots of detail, amazing stuff.

Tricks of the trade me friend. :) The goal is speed with general impressions. You eye doesn't need everything to be perfect to get an impression of detail. Atmosphere helps alot to give depth and obscure areas that don't really need alot of work done. :)

just a quick question while I drool over your latest work....what brushes on PainterIX do you usually use? Do you have a favorite brush?

Hey Lizzie! So I mainly use the ArtistOils/WetOily Brush. I also use a cover pencil and an ArtistOils/WetOilyPalletteKnife.
