This is a for a prerendered isometric online game. The image on the left show the original concept design(removed by client's request) and the image on the right shows my final 3D modeled, shaded and lit set (created in Autodesk Maya 8.5, rendered with MentalRay). For this project my good friend Brett has been helping me with some of the 3D modeling so I could focus on the concept designs and on the final shading/lighting. Note... the billboards in Times Square do not have graphics as they will be animated separately for the game, These colors are just temporary standins

I just knew that as soon as you made it to America, that New York would have been there. I was just wondering what it was going to look like :XD: love the colours, really bright and modern looking - it gets me wondering on how you'll handle Tokyo :plotting:

oOOOoo I like seeing the concept art and the final render.

When you go about concept art, are you drawing in actual locations(identical buildings, streets, rooftops, etc) or having fun and styling the buildings yourself?

OH and..I don't know a lot about this online game but seeing as there's a lot of locations..how do you get from one place to the next?
Train(metro!? :D ) plane, boat haha?

I ask because I saw a subway entrance and thought it'd be neat to see the metro system.

This is absolutely inspiring! Far away from high reflective realism, all the more full of atmosphere.
