This a short film project for a filmmakers workshop I attended ( [link] ). The concept was that we had to produce a 60-90 second documentary-style trailer and it had to have something to do with the BP oil spill. I decided to lessen the focus on the spill itself and take a different perspective than most news outlets. I also produced a 3.5 minute narrative film that I might upload as well.

We only had 1 day to shoot our footage, and 1 day to edit.

Shot on a Canon 5D Mk2
Edited in FinalCut Pro
Motion Graphics done in Adobe After Effects
Music thanks to GarageBand

wow you getting into live film now huh?

did animation make you sour? Finally said "fuck this shit, I'm dealing with characters and props that can move on their own!" haha ;p

Ha! I still love animation, it's just that animation is still too slow to produce all of the stories in my head that have been bottled up for far too long and are scratching at my brain to get out. But, you're right, characters that move on their own and real-time lighting are wonderful things. :)

So which projects are you working on at Nerd Corps now?
