Lumen Church Interior by jermilex Lumen Church Interior by jermilex
Set designed, modeled, textured and lit for an animated short film (not my own film). Concept sketch was done in Corel Painter 11, the 3D work was done in Autodesk Maya 2009.

We were going for a very playful colorful look, and yet tried to still feel believable

This is the kind of feel I would love to get a lesson on how to accomplish (Lighting wise). Stunning!

:) Thank you. I do have a dvd with the gnomon workshop where I talk about my lighting processes (not to make this sound like an ad). Keep creating!

There are certain tricks you can do to speed up renders and get nice results. Do a search for "Efficient Cinematic Lighting" and you might be able to find a master class I did awhile back that talks about these methods. Unfortunately there's no way I can describe it here. but I hope that helps.
