Another speedpaint (about 30 mintes) to conceptualize a medieval market street. This will be made as a 3D model but from a slightly different camera angle and design (for the client's needs), but I thought it would be fun to post this here.

As this was for a customer I don't suppose there is a chance I could use this as a BG for character I made? This would be perfect for completing the look of the shot. What ever your answer is this is absolutely amazing be sure that I'll be giving you a watch ^^

Thank you very much. No, sorry, you're right about being able to not use this because it belongs to a client. But I'm sure glad you like it. :)

Thanks for the quick response :) pity, I gave it a test on the artwork just to see what it'd look like (haven't and wont post it though) and is perfect =b all well. By the way is there any specific notes or resources you can advise that I look over to make digital backgrounds like this? It reminds me very much of the Ron Gilbert Monkey Island games and I'd really like to start developing that kind of thing into my own style, just have no idea where to start on backgrounds.

As for ways to learn about backgrounds, I highly suggest watching Ryan Church's dvds on creating environments from www.thegnomonworkshop.com

[link] is that it? I'm pretty low on cash so what which would you recommend (if it is from those) I've heard of gnomon stuff from imagineFX so I'd imagine anything by them would be good.
