I have been meaning to do this for awhile... add some more visual painting tutorials. This is my process for painting, starting with broad strokes and refining smaller and smaller details until the final result.

I recorded a Painter script while I painted this and played it back to capture this movie, then converted it to flash for posting here. Sorry if it's a bit slow.

it seems it is not the light we see but rather, the effects of light ?
That can be truly beautiful.

I like the "White Light effect" in the end. How did you do that? :)

I really do love the way you handle light and colour, and these recordings are wonderful to watch you go through your process.

I was just curious, do you use many layers, or just one?

Well, thanks for sharing anyway.

Great! I'm glad they're helpful to you. I usually work on only one layer, but sometimes I use more, though rarely

I did, but they seem rather thin. I'll probably have to adjust more.

Also you know when you make quick strokes or turns, you get that rough box-y edge with the brush? Do you know any way to smooth that out?

.... my word... how the night flies...

I must have slept as "rock"... for I was awakened by the commander to report to the base...

only this time to the missile base...

*sighs*

No rest nor leave it seems ~ is yet within my grasp...

Soon I hope...

I arrived and noted something quite different, a type of new missile system? ~ that uses the powers of solar?

I stood pondering at what I was seeing... the brightness of it finally aided my in awakining...

I was careful to avoid stepping past this device...
clever in design, and very bright...

I was blinded by its reflected lenses, that it reminded me that I was issued dark lenses for this station, and so place them over my eyes..

Random thoughts raced quickly... quirks really...

Thoughts of the many uses of this device and the capabilities of it ~ yet, here I was thinking of the demise of ~
